happy birthday julie!

today is my wife's birthday. today i am celebrating the color and flavor that she brings to my life. Jesus told his followers that they were to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world, the flavor and the color. julie lives this as well as anyone i know. there's a million things i love her for. i love her for being an incredible mama to jude and the little girl on the way. i love her for loving laughter and parties and music and reading. i love her for caring for those in need and for her devotion to bible study and worship. i love her for being an incredible cook. i love her for helping me to be a healthy and whole person and live the life God called me to. but all this can be summarized by saying that i love the color and flavor she brings into my life. and it's not just yellow and garlic, though that's her favorite color and she is italian. she brings the color and flavor of life in God's kingdom into my everyday life. for that i am thankful. this is what i'm celebraing today.
