mourning the death of an orphan

One of our own was recently lost.  His life was taken tragically.  We received word about the funeral and burial from some of our Russian staff.  This is a sobering yet inspiring moment.  Please go to Tom Davis' blog to read about it: Who Mourns the Death of an Orphan?

Daniel, my heart felt like it collapsed when I learned of how this young man died. I found myself thinking it was enough that he was orphaned, and questioning why he would die the way he did.

But he is a precious child of God, and finally, fully knows that! Even now, the balm that is His love and care for every one of us is being poured over Sergei. He is fully and really himself, in the presence of his Papa. And God's love is fully, truly and deeply known by Sergei now. He is no longer an orphan!
