Thursday night, September 30th, at 10PM, Rumba Cafe at Summit and Hudson will open their doors to benefit Doma's local efforts to combat human trafficking. The cover is $5 at the door and all proceeds go to Doma International. The Other Paper is highlighting this event in their 'Trifecta: Three Shows with Buzz' feature this week. Be where the buzz is... and all for a good cause.
Doma believes that if communities raise awareness towards elimination of sex trafficking, and if the public learns to recognize, resist, and report sex trafficking, and if youth can access support, then safer communities will develop which will no longer tolerate a demand for sex trafficking, but will nurture vulnerable people and victims toward wholeness. One of Doma's main initiatives is aiding Judge Herbert's CATCH Court.
Five bucks. Five bands. And a good cause.
Mike Reeb will be the feature act.
Also performing will be great local acts Heather Evans, Miss Molly Band, Sam Hughes, and Phillip Fox Trio.
See you Thursday at 10PM at Rumba Cafe!
