What do you see when you look at the world?
I think that is one of the most important questions we can ask ourselves today at the end of our journey through The Hole in our Gospel and everyday as we live our lives with meaning and purpose.
What do you see when you look at the world?
Like a pessimist, do you see only obstacles? Like an optimist, do you see only opportunities? Or are you somewhere in the middle, some kind of committed and hopeful realist? Stearns calls us to be 'people of the possible.'

and this blog every day until Christmas.
Dan:
Rick and I wanted to thank you for introducing this book to us. We took notes, had great discussions, and prayed a lot about our time, talent, and treasure. It really got us thinking about how we can consciously be part of the "people of the possible."
Stearns views put so much into perspective for us. I think so much of it was unawareness at first. I remember the first donation that we made to doma for medicine for Ethiopia. We really had no idea how little money could go such a long way.
Oh, the things we take for granted and the ignorance we have for not thinking that our small contribution can be the small mustard seed that spreads!
"You, me, let's go. We have work to do..."
Thanks again!
